Memorial Day

We had a wonderful but wet Memorial Day. 

Jack headed back early because he was going to the Nuggets game, so the boys and I went into town to check out the parade and flag ceremony.

It is important to both Jack and I to make sure our boys understand what Memorial Day is and what it represents. Both our fathers served in the military, including going to Vietnam.

My dad always use to say to us that going into the Army was one of the best thing he ever did. 

Above is our buddy, Glen. He was in the Air Force and acted as MC for the events.

It was raining so hard and the boys didn't complain once. It helped that they were throwing out candy.
